It’s Not Like Cable TV
There seems to be a reluctance from some people to watch new streaming content because they “don’t want to add a new streaming service.” I can understand that. If you keep adding new services you’ll be paying the equivalent of a cable bill all over again, and isn’t that what we’re trying to avoid? I prefer to think of things a little differently. Streaming services aren’t cable.
The wonderful thing about streaming services is that you’re not locked into any type of contract. You can join today and quit tomorrow if you want. I know people who rotate their streaming memberships across various services. Last month they had Disney+. This month they have Netflix. Next month they plan to have Hulu. After that, it’s on to BritBox to catch up on their favorite British shows. Later, it will be CBS All Access.
No one is saying you have to join all the things. You know your budget and your interests. Don’t get stuck with cable TV logic in the cable-cutting era.
